According to Morningstar’s newly published study, the average expense ratio paid by fund investors is half of what it was two decades ago. These lower fees saved investors approximately $6.2 Billion in 2020. Fund fees have been pushed down to the marginal cost of managing them and most assets have consolidated into the largest fund companies.
